You can never have too many bags

We recently wrote a blog on the fantastic leather bags made by Marco Campomaggi: click here. Now it’s his wife’s turn to be in the Lawfully Chic limelight – Caterina Lucchi has been drawing and producing bags since the 1980s and her “sober, timeless” designs are vintage expressions of originality, sophistication and style.

Caterina, whose brand officially launched in 1986, is inspired by the contemporary woman and she experiments with materials and styles that she feels will suit these passionate and tenacious protagonists in her design-led story. It is these women, she says, to whom her bags are dedicated.

Her AW14 collection is all about new lines and patterns and there’s a touch of 1960s flair in the flowers and geometric prints. The range includes both practical satchels and shopping bags in pewter, bronze, black and denim. And, as always with Caterina and her husband Marco, it’s all made in Italy. The third part of the Campomaggi and Lucchi leather bag empire is Gabs Franco Gabrielli (a.k.a. Gabs). The shape of the bags can be changed by folding and zipping, a kind of sustainability in itself if you think about I – three bags in one! Check them out at http://www.gabs.it/en/p/company/.
