Sinking your teeth into eco-fashion

Sinking your teeth into eco-fashion

Given their primary aim of creating “timeless staples reflecting a sophisticated lifestyle in an ecologically sensible manner”, it’s no surprise that Lawfully Chic is a fan of contemporary fashion brand Ecocouture. Not only do Ecocouture donate a portion of all sales to environmental and social welfare organisations, they also source from companies committed to fair trade and labour.

Their clothing offers consumers sustainable elegance in luxurious fabrics such as organic supima cotton, silk, modal, hemp, linen, bamboo, soy jersey, organic denim, cashmere, water resistant fleece, organic cotton fleece, recycled leather and remnant material.

And from Spring 2013, Ecocouture is upping the ante. The new collection, labelled as “luxe and boho-chic meets eco-conscious” will have a Hollywood twist, endorsed by actress Marisa Quinn, most recently known for her role as vampire Huilen in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2”.

Quinn will create the Marisa Quinn for Ecocouture collection and play an ambassadorial role in Ecocouture’s Influential Women (IW) campaign, a tribute to and partnership with women who exemplify the brand mantra – “Responsible. Life. Style.” A portion of each Ecocouture garment goes to a charity of choice from these Influential Women.

#Marisa4EcoCouture line will be available for Spring 2013. You can request a line sheet at
