I’ve just seen this powerful short film and I won’t forget it anytime soon. ‘We Miss You’ fires a warning to city-loving humanity that we have become worryingly detached from the natural world and we need to do something about it before it’s too late.
German-born director Hanna Maria Heidrich – a former Central Saint Martin’s student – and two fellow filmmakers produced this stunning piece of cinematography with the aim of getting ‘people back in touch with nature’. It’s beautiful and haunting (despite the touch of cheesy blockbuster) and it’s making waves in the film industry, having won a host of awards including the Special Jury Award at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
