Fat Face was founded by two friends who share a love of the great outdoors. Their brand of ‘active lifestyle clothing’ reflects their philosophy, with ‘kit for those who love to get out there’, made to withstand any weather, surf or slope. Now Fat Face is reminding us of the great outdoors, right on our doorstep, in the South West of England, with a ‘British Artists Series’. Nine artists have been commissioned from the region to create artworks for display in select Fat Face stores throughout the Summer months.
Aimed at conveying the beauty and energy of the coastal landscape, each piece of art along with 3 limited edition prints will be sold to raise money for the Fat Face Foundation. The artists involved range from emerging graphic designers to the more established, such as National Portrait gallery painter, Michael Frith. Another talented contributor is Suzanne Lance, a Malaysian-born artist who started her career in the jungles of Borneo helping indigenous tribes to set-up co-operatives, before travelling and finally settling in Devon.
The auction starts on eBay on 5th September, 2011.
